design team lead (freelance) – maternity leave cover (may – jan)

Vision Healthcare is seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Design Team Lead to provide maternity leave cover for our design team.

About the Role:

In this temporary role (start date between May 15th and June), you’ll lead and manage our design team remotely. You’ll be responsible for overseeing projects, ensuring smooth workflow, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and manage project plans & timelines.
– Break down projects and assign tasks to team members.
– Track progress, manage budgets, and report to stakeholders.
– Oversee design workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
– Foster a collaborative team environment and provide clear direction.
– Offer constructive feedback and support to team members.
– Communicate effectively with stakeholders, designers, and other departments.
– Identify opportunities to improve design processes and workflows.
– Implement new systems and tools to streamline the design process.

Requirements:
– Extensive experience as a Design Team Lead/Project Manager/Traffic coordinator
– Proven ability to manage projects remotely.
– Excellent project management and communication skills.
– Proficiency in written and spoken English.
– Strong understanding of design principles and workflows.
– Ability to analyze and identify areas for process improvement.
