Who we’re looking for:

VML Lisbon are looking for an experienced/senior Account Manager to join the global UNICEF core team.

The role is to work on a range of projects across a range of client assignments across different disciplines (strategy, creative, digital, B2B and B2C).

We’re looking for someone with a passion for creativity in marketing, brings energy and excitement for the opportunity, and is committed to partnering with our clients in helping UNICEF deliver for children around the world.

We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years experience working with international brands in marketing communications.

Global experience is key to the role. We’re ideally looking for a native English speaker.

The role is based in the Lisbon office, and while partial work from home is possible, we like our people to foster in person collaboration, and so being based in our beautiful office for the majority of the time works best.

What you’ll do:

As the client’s window into VML, and often their first port of call, you know the clients and their organization better than anyone else and are comfortable adding value in every interaction.

Understand and interpret the client brief, challenging the ask when necessary to ensure VML are always delivering the best solution, pulling in other members of the VML team as and when required.

You will work alongside all departments within the agency such Creative, Strategy, Production, as well as other VML offices in the network.

Be competent with financial systems and project management tools (timelines, etc.) to ensure work is delivered on time and to budget.

Give your input into wash-ups by project to ensure that best practice is baked into future campaigns.

Circulate agendas before every meeting and contact report any follow ups.

Always curious – never afraid to ask questions and proactively go and seek out information.

What you’ll need:

Minimum of 3 years of account management experience in an agency
Experience working on international business/ global clients
Native English language ability
Experience overseeing the development and launch of integrated advertising campaigns (including traditional media, digital media, social media) marketing experiences within an agency environment required
Ability to own project workstreams and productions as lead point of contact
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Organized, analytical, persuasive, and well-developed interpersonal skills.
A good listener, articulate, intelligent, naturally collaborative and empathic personality
Self-confident, flexible yet takes and defends positions.
Ability to present ideas, concepts and strategic direction to clients.
Clear, concise writer.
Good evaluator of advertising and marketing solutions.
Ability to develop strong client relationships.
