Reporting To: Digital Marketing Manager

Location: Porto, Portugal

We are looking for an experienced website manager to take ownership of our portfolio of international websites, taking responsibility for delivering the website strategy across all products and countries.

A self-starter, who’s role will be to oversee the day-to-day running and management of customer-facing WordPress websites, with a key focus on SEO and website analytics.

Ideal candidates will have a highly analytical, technical and inquisitive mindset. A passion for content, data, optimisation and excellent communication skills are also key.

You’ll report into the Global Digital Marketing Manager and will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class user experience and performance across the website with the results to follow.

Optimise our online presence by analysing and improving our search engine rankings.
Carry out regular audits of the websites’ SEO structure and ensure that we are utilising every opportunity to acquire new business, and achieve top rankings in organic, international search
Take ownership of uploading content and managing website content from end-to-end
Troubleshooting issues and problem solving where necessary
Work closely with the Global Digital Marketing Manager to improve lead generation and website conversions
Contribute to evolving how content is presented and structured; enhance and improve customer outcomes and experiences – the UX
Implement a test and learn approach, to enable continual improvements of the customer journey and conversions to enquiries / bookings
Continually review and build on the customer journey, working with colleagues to understand the needs and wants of our veterinary audience
Introduce and manage a website conversion rate optimisation (CRO) strategy for the group
Implement a marketing first WordPress CMS, empowering the marketing team to make changes and take advantage of opportunities as they arise
Drive insight and analysis for all aspects of the digital funnel – acting as the centre of excellence for digital best practices and testing
Work with teams across the business to understand changing business priorities and identify opportunities to optimise website performance to drive revenue
Use web analytics, session replay and or other monitoring tools, to understand user behaviour and our digital customer journeys
Work in collaboration with the IT department to ensure website plans and improvements are rolled out on time and in budget
Support the marketing team with best practises, coaching and guiding as required

2-3 years managing and optimising WordPress websites, with proven track record of success in a similar role.
Excellent Awareness of SEO rankings.
Organisational and co-ordination abilities.
Good attention to detail is vital.
Proficiency in WordPress is mandatory.
A ‘hands on’ and ‘can do’ approach for customer acquisition.
A hunger for business growth and seeing results.
Outside-the-box thinker.
Organised with the ability to self-manage your own projects.
Excellent understanding of SEMrush/Google Analytics/html/WordPress Development.
