Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Brand Visual Guidelines, maintaining a visual identity that aligns with the organization’s branding strategy

● Create compelling graphic designs such as brochures, banners, flyers, and digital ads.

● Create written and multimedia content (image, video, design, photography and copy) for:

○ Social media: linkedin, facebook, instagram, youtube, and tiktok (adapting the material formats)

○ Newsletters: create relevant newsletters accordingly to different target audiences

○ Website: review and update website content in WordPress backoffice

○ Digital campaigns

● Keep track and analyse the above mentioned channels’ metrics and discuss the insights with the Marketing and Communications responsible to create more engaging content

● Create presentations templates to uniform visual communication

● Support in the execution of events with multimedia materials

● Create videos to communicate Teach For Portugal’s work and engage with the community

● Conceptualize and execute visual strategies for brand campaigns

● Social media management and community management

● Use impact stories, data of the organisation and information from Teach For Portugal’s training sessions to create relevant content

● Collect and review real impact stories from the field and prepare story kits to other members of the team share with external stakeholders

Required skills and previous experience:

Candidates must have exceptional written and oral communication skills, excellent ability to understand others’ needs and to influence others.

● Required skills:

○ Graphic Design and image editing

○ Video (filming, editing and production)

○ Photography

○ Content writing

○ Understanding of the type of visuals and communication that work on social media

● Desirable: managing WordPress Backoffice, Elementor, and SEO development, Motion design

● Think in the client’s shoes: social and cultural sensitivity to produce content for different audiences (partners, candidates, etc.)

● Excellent communication (writing and speaking – Portuguese native level and English fluent level): Good writing skills; we all make spelling mistakes, but it is important that you have the sensitivity to understand the importance of double checking and use tools to avoid mistakes

● Organization skills and attention to detail: our day to day is loaded with many names, organizations, numbers. There are lots of information running through email, cloud, documents, slack, meetings, etc. You need to be able to keep track of this information and organize it clearly and consistently. (i.e. while creating documents in Google Drive, or video editing, have the attention to keep the folders organized, or to name and fill out alt in the media uploaded on the website.)

● Tools: able to autonomously use Office, Adobe (especially Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere), WordPress backoffice, Google tools, Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Meta Business Suite, Linkedin, Youtube). Plus: tools like Canva and Google Slides to create presentation templates that the team can easily edit.
