Areia Interior Design – design and art of living at the heart of your real estate project. There is a natural link between real estate, decoration, design and art. Whether our clients are buying a new or an old residence, we accompany them by overseeing your interior design project. Through a unique access to a local network of professionals whose common denominator is a pronounced taste for the art of living, architecture and decoration. We create homes fitted to their lifestyle and personality. We collaborate with some of the best local artisans in Portugal to design high-end custom-made furnitures matching the art of traditional Portuguese craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Responsibilities
• Undertaking interior design and decoration project from concept to completion
• Conducting meetings with clients to discuss their needs and style preferences
• Defining and overseeing project requirements, budget and schedule
• Research and decide on materials, furniture sourcing and artworks
• Preparing concept presentations, mood boards, furniture plans and 3D rendering
• Coordinating with contractors and tradespeople
• Place orders for furnitures, materials and artwork
• Manage the installation of the design elements
• Advertising Areia Interior Design services to generate new projects
Materials to be produced
• Mood-boards and design presentations
• Floor plans and furniture plans using AutoCAD or SketchUp
• 3D renderings using Photoshop and 3D modeling software
• Detailed sketches of room layouts or other designs
Requirements and skills
• BS degree in Interior Design or similar
• Experience in decorating interior spaces
• Fluent in English and Portuguese – French is a plus
• Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
• Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection and custom furniture
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, 3D modeling software other design programs
• Free-hand sketching abilities
• Project management skills
• Self-motivated and autonomous
• Business oriented, with strong communication skills
• Knowledge of the industry trends and best practices
Location
Home Based – the candidate must have the possibility to come regularly to Lisbon
