The role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming and is passionate about building products that create real change and improve people’s lives. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with a full-fledged Product development team including a Product Manager, Product Designer, Frontend/Backend Engineers, and QA Analyst, bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

What you’ll do

Work with software developers to create plans, tasks, time estimates, and timelines for delivery.
Strive for continuous improvement within the self-regulated team, mentor peers and associates working in cross-functional feature teams.
Provide mentorship to Junior and Mid Level Engineers in order to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers.
Innovate and introduce new technologies in the team when a clear problem will be solved.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
Build solutions using test-driven development (TDD), including integration testing.
Experience working with a cross-functional team.

Who you are

You live within the Brazilian or Portuguese timezone (UTC-3 to UTC+1);
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or similar.
4+ years of experience building leading-edge web applications, dashboards, and/or workflow systems using Javascript/typescript, ideally in SaaS platform and application development.
Excellent understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
Good understanding of ReactJS, React Native, or Vue.
Great understanding of Responsive Design.
Ability to implement different types of testing (Unit, Integration, and Functional).
Great understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git.
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them.
Code optimization and performance improvements.
Understanding of JSON and RESTful web services.
Creative thinking, analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fully remote organization.

It will be a nice plus if you have

Proficient in written and spoken English.
Experience with monitoring tools.
Basic knowledge to build and run Docker containers.
Bug tracking with Sentry.
Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence).
