CREATIVE OPERATIONS
We’re a creative family, building copy, data and visual assets for each corner of the FARFETCH Ecommerce Platform. We are dedicated to providing gold standard imagery, content and production services for our partners and creating an engaging on-site experience for our customers.
GUIMARÃES
Our Guimarães office is located in this beautiful and historic city, often described as the ‘birthplace of Portugal’. This is where our European Production team is based, in a custom-built office and studio facility which has a games room, music area and unbeatable chill out zone with a hammock that fits up to 20 people!
THE ROLE
Have full knowledge of brand’s guidelines, ensuring the on-set teams are briefed appropriately and that workflow is running smoothly.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Oversee the image output of the studios to ensure the highest standards of quality, consistency and accuracy whilst maintaining productivity and targets.
Contribute to team planning and scheduling for each shoot to ensure the best results, alongside Live Model Studio Lead and Deputy Styling Editor.
Oversee all aspects of technical accuracy and Lightroom settings across the different studios in collaboration with the Technical Team.
Suggest continuous improvements to existing Ways of Working or proposing new strategies and help coordinate their implementation.
Identify areas of opportunity and brainstorm ongoing training for the photography team and the training of new team members.
Review and evaluate the development of the Photography team, contributing to twice yearly reviews, identifying needs for training.
Support the Art Direction team in the development of existing brand guidelines and the creation of guidelines for new projects.
Support the Art Direction team in the of briefs to the studio teams, ensuring that the required creative vision is understood and is being achieved through the assurance of lighting, colour, composition and model direction.
Receive and respond to briefs for Creative Services projects as provided by the Art Direction team, ensuring a focus on achieving the highest-quality results and Solutions.
Work in an environment that values collaboration and must exhibit professional conduct consistent with the values of the Company.
Work with the Studio Art Director and Styling editor on the production of creative tests and the creation of Guidelines.
Guarantee the work methodologies of the team to ensure agreement across the studios.
Provide direct support in specific cases /problems that require more expertise.
Implement new strategies for constant improvement of studio production teams
Work and collaborate with Deputy Styling Editors to provide a high standard of imagery ensuring the images comply with company style guides and maintaining communication throughout departments to uphold a smooth workflow daily.
Work with studio photographers of all levels to ensure the continued development of the photographic department and aiding with the introduction of new concepts and setups, allowing imagery and ideas to evolve alongside the other creative elements of the business.
Hold photography meetings and workshops to practically help develop and curate the photography team’s direction.
Check photographers contacts daily and providing creative feedback on lighting consistency, angles, crops, model posing and ensuring company standards are met.
Check website upload for consistency and raising/flagging any issues or amend with the correct department e.g. styling, retouch, photography.
WHO YOU ARE
5 years proven live model photography experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Macintosh-based equipment within a network environment.
Regular user of IT systems (MS Office) and image editing/management (Adobe Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One).
Expert working knowledge of E-commerce and editorial Live Model Photography in mens and womens.
Experience with strobe lights, light meters, Pocket Wizards, and Canon systems.
Passionate about fashion.
Must be able to multitask.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Able to take feedback on board and adapt to change.
Great communication and soft skills.
Great interpersonal skills to train other photographers.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Able to adapt to each Brand’s specificities while achieving quality standards.
Ability to troubleshoot lighting and software issues.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to respond well to changing priorities, workflows and information.
Great time management skills, being able to work under tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
