Join us to improve how kids learn computer science and collaborate to create 2d games using block coding! is building a place where kids can learn by playing and become creators of technology (not just consumers). We are driven to make it easy for teachers and parents to stop worrying about becoming tech pros before they can actually start teaching coding & computer science to kids 6 – 12 (and up). Our software products are already being used by children around the world.
The platform engineering team at oversees the technology and end to end-user experience of our platform features across desktop and mobile. The team’s mission is to give our users the utmost certainty that our learning and playing experience is excellent. is now looking for a highly technical, hands-on, and mission-driven Frontend Engineer to help us refine and broaden the delight and influence of our learning games and tools.

What you will do
You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
– Develop new user-facing features.
– Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
– Take ownership of ubbu’s frontend application.
– Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
– Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
– Collaborate with members from other teams and stakeholders.

About you
– You know your way around at least one frontend framework like AngularJS or React
– You are familiar with HTTP and REST APIs basic concepts
– You used some kind of frontend build system in the past
– You are cool around CSS and CSS preprocessors
