What will be your role?

We are looking for someone passionate and enthusiastic about innovation and technology that wants to be part of our team and help us to grow. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and guidance of the team members, you will implement guidelines and support your team members with any issues they may have. You will ensure that your team understand the goals and work together to accomplish it. You will help a team cross-functional to improve and grow! You will help your team truly surprise our clients by delivering them valuable products!

To be our Team Manager, you need to:

– Understand the big picture, breaking big challenges into smaller chunks
– Be not afraid of testing new ideas and concepts, learning from some drawbacks
– Think strategically, seeing the big picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
– Be a people person, enjoy working with others and love solving and exceed customer/business needs

Key responsibilities
– Understand the customer/business needs and help defining the requirements for the solutions
– Support and coach the team to commit to challenging but realistic and reliable sprint results
– Develop and support the team, ensuring that the team is always capable of executing all relevant tasks to deliver the agreed client solutions
– Support and coach the team to keep focused and achieve transparency in its progress also towards external stakeholders (e.g. project managers, product owners)
– Support and coach the team in removing or escalating impediments that the team cannot solve internally
– Manage and support the team promoting their personal and professional growth;
– Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture and effective collaboration, mediating any interpersonal issue;
– Support and coach the team in removing or escalating impediments that the team cannot solve internally
– Ensure timely and constructive cooperation of the team with the product owner or other stakeholders.
– Foster reflection and continuous learning to increase team performance and value orientation.
– Facilitate and support team events (sprint planning, retrospective and daily standups, etc)

– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related knowledge area, or comparable job expertise
– Very good English and Portuguese skills, both written and spoken (German is a plus)
– At least 2 years of proven experience as a Team Manager or Team Leader or similar
– Love working in cross-functional teams
– Mindset of one who gets enthusiastic about digital products and business models

As a plus….
– Have knowledge of Agile methodologies
– Have worked in a startup company (with < 10 software developers) before, so you know what it’s like to build products/tech from the ground up in an environment with many uncertainties & growth challenges
– Have worked with Jira before, bringing in expertise on how to structure our projects.
