JAK Shoes is a Portuguese luxury sneaker brand. We are growing fast and our Customer Service is one of the reasons why. We are currently looking for an E-commerce Customer Assistant intern to train and possibly become a full part of our team at the end of the internship. IEFP internship Is our main solution but we are open to any other kind of internship (University partnerships for instance).

We take care of customers in the true sense of the word and we aim to provide a unique and personable experience. Our business can be described in three main departments: Brand (brand development, communication & PR, customer service), Product (Product Development, Fulfilment, Inventory Management, Production) and Business (Marketing, Sales, Partnerships). Although your main focus will be on customer service you will be trained and work on all of these areas.

Main Tasks

– Answer customer inquiries regarding our products or their orders. Assist customers with product selection, fitting, transit times and general questions. This is mostly done through email and live chat, but the occasional phone call can happen.

– Assist purchasing and inventory management.

– Internal communications and information related to the service of clients.

– It is essential for everyone in our company to have retail experience, so during the first months you will work 2 days per week in-store and 3 days in the office.


– Great writing skills: you can put your own personality in your writing. We don’t do the usual “robot style” customer management: customers should realize they are speaking with someone real.

– Great English skills (both speaking and writing). If you don’t speak Portuguese it is actually not a problem.

– Able to solve problems by yourself and have enough confidence to make decisions. Obviously, we don’t expect this to happen right away, but we do believe in giving space and decision power for people to make decisions on their own.

Nice to have

– Customer service experience in any level (call center, shops, your own small e-commerce… just let us know)

– Any digital experience would be also considered a plus. Either eCommerce or Social Media knowledge would be nice.
