The Science Communication Office at the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown is looking for a talented Junior Motion Graphic Artist & Video Editor to integrate it’s team of visual artists, graphic designers and science writers. We need someone who is hard working, keen to develop, has an eye for detail and an interest in science.
As a motion graphic designer and video editor, you will support our multimedia studio in executing cool graphics for our outreach and online projects. The right candidate will have meticulous attention to detail and be highly proficient in After Effects , Premiere and Photoshop project workflow, while bringing positivity and enthusiasm to the team.
Candidate Profile/Essential Requirements:
~ Fluent in English
~ After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite mastery
~ Familiarity with plugins like RedGiant and Video Copilot.
~ Mad compositing skills
~ Slick animation abilities
~ Positive, problem solving attitude
~ Great eye for design
~ Knack for motion timing
~ Flair for exploration and experimentation
~ Strong communication and storytelling skills
~ Ability to help drive the creative output of the CCU Multimedia Office, pushing boundaries, conceptually, visually and technically.
~ Ability to help projects to run smoothly, being aware of timings, deliverables and workflow
~ Sweet editing skills

Duration and place of work:
This fellowship will have a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal for additional periods, depending on positive evaluation. Activities will take place at the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown, in Lisbon, Portugal.
Fellowship value will be commensurate with skills and experience.
The Junior Motion Graphic Artist & Video Editor will work directly with our Multimedia Producer and under the coordination of CR Science Communication and CF Communication Head Officers.
