business development specialist

GBSN Research’s growing team is looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills to join our team. Mission: Drive online and offline sales, in line with brand values

What we’re looking for:
Degree in Business, Economics, Law or similar
Commercial/business development experience with companies, preferably in consultancy or technology areas
Fluent English speaker (mandatory) and knowledge in another major European language (not essential). It is not a requirement to speak Portuguese​
Excellent written/verbal communication and articulation skills
Great commercial ambition, used to work based on objectives achievement
Passion for technology and analytics
Innate interest in learning about customers behavior through both numbers and qualitative data
Drive for excellence and professionalism
Existing relationships in target sectors is a plus
Availability to travel in and outside Portugal occasionally

Key Responsibilities:
Drive sales, find new business, qualify leads, clients negotiation, closing deals, record and update all information about customers, opportunities and leads, provide technical information to businesses.

What you’ll do:
Create, manage and develop new business client opportunities, from cold-calling to close of business.

Generate Leads
Through cold calling, online outreach and inbound marketing, develop a database of leads/prospective clients segmented by specific criteria; attend exhibitions or networking events where potential new business opportunities could be pursued.

Create a value proposition
Research the client and sector to identify possible client needs and solutions. Present our services to prospects and create solutions for their requirements. Set up meetings to visit the client and close business. Increase your market knowledge and develop relationships with clients by keeping them up to date on the latest and most relevant news for their business.

Improve the business revenue
Through cross-selling, upselling, and development of emerging business opportunities. Creation and management of referral, loyalty and membership plans. Develop strategic partnerships and expand service offerings.

Position the brand as a thought leader/expert
Build brand equity and attract ideal customers through carefully curated content through social media, blog articles, speaking engagements, industry panels and other high-profile events to showcase the company and its expertise.

What we offer:
Your performance as a Business Developer will be measured in terms of new business generation, activity and quality performance targets. The revenue generated from the accounts you bring on for the company will gauge your performance.

Yearly gross salary: Between 16.000,00 € and 20.000,00 €, depending on your experience
