POSITION OVERVIEW
The Inside Sales Account Manager (ISAM) will manage a specified sales territory through proactive account management and delivering the sales plan by minimising erosion and optimising organic and new business growth while also identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities to grow market share in assigned territory.
The position is responsible for establishing and managing existing customer relationships as well as identifying potential customers primarily by telephone and other web based tools.
This role spends a significant amount of time on the telephone and working on email managing customer accounts focused on maintaining and developing business.
The ISAM must be resilient, energetic and able to engage customers in valuable discussions that underline the value NWT can bring to their operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
• Communicating new products to prospective clients.
• Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients.
• Responding to customer enquires quickly and managing an effective contact strategy.
• Increasing client base through targeting prospects, qualifying, identifying needs and demand creation.
• Generating new target prospects through research, networking, and referrals.
• Converting leads to sales opportunities by identifying alignment of critical business needs with company’s solutions which differentiate NWT from competitors.
• Identifying key decision makers and influencers at all levels of an organisation and develop relationships.
• Following industry trends internationally.
• Submitting standard sales metrics, such as monthly progress and business reports.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Excellent organisational, time and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently in changing environments and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage a large group of accounts and sense of urgency.
• Excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
• Availability to travel when necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• University degree.
• Demonstrated experiences in sales, prospecting and new business development are not a must, but a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English including ability to develop and deliver effective presentations through electronic mediums.
• Another foreign language is a plus.
• Strong computer competency with high MS Office suite proficiency, database experience and other internet based software.
• Proven experience and ability to work independently as well as in team environment.
• Strong aesthetic sensibility.
• Willing to work from our office in Malveira da Serra, Cascais.
