HBO Portugal is on the verge of an exciting moment and we are seeking a creative and data-driven Marketing Manager to help pave the launch into the Portuguese market.
This is a highly entrepreneurial and fast-paced leadership role that will be charged with driving best in class marketing campaigns/activities that will position HBO as the best streaming service in the Portuguese market.
By using the latest marketing tools and leveraging your deep market knowledge and strong creative sentiment, you will build HBO brand awareness, drive subscriber acquisitions, and optimize partnerships with our affiliate partners.
Additionally, you will work closely with the Distribution team and will lead the integrated marketing approach with HBO Europe’s PR, Social Media, and Digital teams.
Your outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to work within a small team setting, and positive attitude will have a large impact on HBO Portugal’s team success.

The assignment:
Managing and evaluating all brand marketing campaigns, assessing against business goals (ROI and KPIs), and constantly optimizing performance.
Managing and tracking the brand marketing budget in Portugal.
Evaluating end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
Maintaining and creating a high standard of cooperation with partners – affiliate, handset manufacturers and other third-party partners, as well as creative and media buy agencies and other marketing vendors
Brainstorming and coordinating implementation of innovative and creative growth strategies
Monitoring marketing trends and being in constant pursuit of innovative high-quality marketing opportunities within the Portuguese market.

You will report to the SVP Marketing HBO Europe and will work closely with the Distribution Manager, as well as with multiple departments spanning the entire Marketing & Sales department in HBO Europe.

Required experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience running successful and innovative marketing campaigns and activities (preferably from a leading entertainment company).
Experience in subscription businesses a plus!
Solid track record in brand marketing, including development of key creative assets and integrated brand campaigns.
Professional knowledge of TV/VOD/SVOD market and trends in Portugal a must.
Hands-on experience managing relationships with external partners and agencies.

Personal Qualities:
A strong interest in television and film, as well as marketing and digital trends.
A passion for building brands in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment.
Excellent communication/interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to drive creativity and enthusiasm in other team members.
Strong business acumen, project management skills, and data-driven approach with the ability to execute in a fast-paced and changing environment
Fluency in written and spoken English & Portuguese.
